About the Game

Slingshot Squires combines the strategic tower defense of Plants vs. Zombies with the physics-based action of Angry Birds, all set in a charming pixel-art world inspired by Stardew Valley.

Squire Character

The Squire

Your main character, skilled in both farming and combat. He's your go-to for everything Slingshot Squires!

Mosquito Character

The Mosquito

Common enemy. Easy to kill. Don't let them pile up!

Worm Character

The Worm

A quicker, less common enemy. Worms love to wreak havoc on your crops.

Slime Character

The Slime

The biggest enemy in the game. Encountered after wave 7. Slimes are chunky, so kill them before they one-hit your crops!

Valeska Peters

Artist and Developer

Hi, I'm Valeska! I'm a junior majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Urban Planning. I primarily worked as an artist for this game, creating assets like the title screen, cutscenes, and enemy sprites. I'm passionate about blending code with artistic creativity, so getting to build a game in Unity this semester was truly a dream come true. I'm excited to keep growing my game development skills beyond this class, but learning Unity, coding in C#, and collaborating with such a talented team has given me a solid foundation for the future.

Peter Morganelli

Project Manager and Developer

Hey! I'm Peter, a sophomore at Tufts studying computer science. I made the original slingshot mechanic in the first few weeks, the enemy pathfinding to crops, the wave progress bar, and numerous other bugs that came up along the way. I've really enjoyed learning Unity and programming in C#. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, hanging out with friends, solving Rubik's cubes, and programming something new. I also made this site!

Software Developer

Charlie is a junior majoring in Computer Science, with minors in Economics and Entrepreneurship. He is interested in software engineering and will be working at The Hartford this summer as a software engineering intern. At Tufts, he's enjoyed working on game design projects that let him blend creativity with coding. Outside the classroom, he plays for the Tufts baseball team. In his free time, he loves building things, hanging out with friends, playing baseball, and playing video games.

Hi! I'm Andria, a sophomore at Tufts majoring in Cognitive and Brain Science and minoring in Computer Science. I worked primarily on art and animation for this project I’m particularly interested in AI/ML and the intersection of healthcare and technology. In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, music, and traveling!

Originally from Portland OR, I've been playing instruments and making music since I could walk. I've professionally performed and recorded playing Piano, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Percussion, Guitar, Bass, Accordion, Harmonica, and many more. Now, I work as a Media composer for Film, Television, Games, Advertisements, Shorts, Company Promotionals, Industrials, and anything else that Music can accompany. How to Play

1. Purchase Your Crops

Strategically use your coins to protect your farm and yield the most profit.

2. Aim and Fire

Use your slingshot to take down enemies with precise shots and defend your precious goods.

3. Upgrade and Progress

Earn coins by killing enemies to upgrade your crops and unlock new ammunition.
